As I write this letter, I start to smile as I reflect back to my
year as Mrs. Oklahoma International. What an amazing
opportunity I have been blessed with. I had no idea the doors
that would be opened and the young people I would have the
opportunity to meet during my reign. From speaking to the state
senate, to riding in a car during a 4th of July parade, I wore
the crown and title proudly! Having the opportunity to promote
my platform "Abstinence Education" brought me great joy. It is
important to teach our young people and to spend time with them;
guiding them so that they may have every opportunity to be all
they can be. Thank you to the youth groups and organizations
that allowed me to speak about this issue that is very important
to me.
To my wonderful husband Aaron, thank you for allowing me to
chase my dream and to always encourage me to do my best. You've
been there through the good and the bad. Thanks for making me
laugh and always looking at the positive. You are an amazing
person and I thank God for you every day!
To my adorable son Nathan, you bring me joy everyday and I am so
thankful for you and look forward to teaching you and watching
you grow into whatever it is that God has in store for your
life.
To my parents and sisters, words truly can't express my
gratitude for all you have done for me. All the financial
support, prayers, sewing (mom and Sherri), for being my fans in
the crowd and just always loving me for who I am. Thank you
isn't enough but I pray God will bless you for your love!
To my church family, thank you for your prayers that strengthen
me daily! To our amazing youth group Trinity Youth, Aaron and I
are blessed to have been your youth pastors for 7 years. I
cherish all the times we've had.
To Lauri Rottmayer, thank you for allowing me to be a part of
this year’s pageant. I'm so excited that you are taking this
pageant, putting your heart and soul into it and moving it
forward to give woman across Oklahoma the amazing opportunity to
compete in this wonderful system. May God richly bless you!
To the next Mrs. Oklahoma International, I pray abundant
blessing during your year. Savor every moment for it will pass
by quickly! I wish you luck and your family the very best.
