Mrs. Oklahoma will drive to Chicago from Bartlesville with Director, Lauri Rottmayer, to arrive in time for Orientation. She will room with another contestant until Thursday when her husband arrives. Her husband will be flown to Chicago on Thursday in order to be present in time for the husband's orientation on Friday morning. Mrs. Oklahoma and her husband will drive back to Bartlesville on Sunday following the Mrs. International finals. Any deviation from this plan of travel will be at the contestant's own expense.
The main reason for driving to Nationals is due to the limitation of luggage when flying and the potential for lost or damaged wardrobe. By driving, your wardrobe can be unlimited!
